7) But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance; (NKJV)
Faith pleases God. He is pleased when we trust completely in Him. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, BECAUSE anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Take note of the word 'because'; it will help us understand faith.
Faith doesn't have to be mechanical when you understand that it has more to do with how we come to God what we do in order to come. If Hebrew 11:6 says '... Because anyone who comes to Him ...' then we should be able to ask, “How does God want us to come?” Faith has to do with HOW we come to God in order for Him to be pleased!
The bible says in Hebrews 7:19, “THE LAW brought nothing to maturity. another way—JESUS! —a way that does work, that brings us right into the presence of God, is put in its place” (Message). This means there is another WAY that works besides the way of the Law and that way is JESUS which is the way of faith!
The first way which is the LAW represents man's strength and ability and the second way which is JESUS which is His sacrifice is the way that works. This second way is the new way that has been put in place by God! We can't come any other way because faith is approaching God, God's way!
Faith is coming through JESUS! Coming through His finished work on the cross. Hebrews 9:7 says, “But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood…” It was necessary for the priest to come through/with blood. You cannot approach God in your self effort, good works and moral uprightness! Without JESUS it is impossible to please God!
You are only in faith when you take up scriptures and the promises of God and appropriate them to your circumstances THROUGH the blood of Jesus as your only plea. In the words of the old song writer, “Just as I am without one plea BUT that thy
BLOOD was shed for me and that thou bid me come to You, Oh Lamb of God I come, I come.” We come by blood!
When we come to God irrespective of our self-effort, heaven is pleased. The blood of Jesus is the price that was paid for us to be who we are, have what we have and do the things we can do! When we come through that blood we are in faith!
Stop having faith in your ability and self-effort and start putting your confidence in the blood of Jesus! Think and meditate on the blood of Jesus until you are fully persuaded and like Hebrews 10:19-22 says, “… Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The "curtain" into God's presence is his body. So let's do it—full of belief, confident that we're presentable inside and out” (MSG). Let your faith be in the blood or you will always keep coming short. You can never do enough of anything in order to be presentable before God and be well pleasing to Him but thank God for the blood. Through the power of the blood of Jesus we are presentable inside and outside! Glory to God!
1 Samuel 2:9 says, “He protectively cares for his faithful friends, step by step, but leaves the wicked to stumble in the dark. No one makes it in this life by sheer muscle!” (MSG). Blood always prevails where strength fails!
Step out today and receive all that is yours by the shed blood of Jesus. Remember “… not without blood…” is what pleases God.
Thank you Father for the way of blood.
It has become my way!
Thank You for the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and His blood that was shed for me. You are pleased with me. I boldly take my healing, my money, my houses, my children and everything that He has purchased for me in His death, burial
By the blood of Jesus, I receive wisdom, strength, ability and grace to be everything His Words says I am in Jesus name.
